We did not use the hotel services, but we used cafe.
The presentation is really nice, we paid £8.25 for the Jake’s potato with prawns and Marie Rose sauce. The potato is perfectly cooked, literally melted in mouth, the sauce is good too, appreciate the amount of prawns that was put in, really good.
The cappuccino was not as good unfortunately it was too watery(?).

Absolutely love the cafe and even more now it's on our doorstep. Always get a warm welcome and the menu is great
So nice to find good British home cooked food. Always an extra choice or two on the sp
ecials and the Sunday lunch is delicious and can be had to takeaway if they are busy.
The sweets are to die for and the scones.
So nice to see a local business that is well supported by locals and visitors

Just popped in for lunch, and what a lovely place. Really quaint, with a good menu and friendly service.

I had a really tasty and filling tuna sandwich, which came with a huge side salad, coleslaw, and a couple of nachos. It was fresh and flavoursome.

Also, and maybe most importantly, they do sides of curly fries, and they're cooked to perfection.

We'll be back when we next pass through for sure!

Visited today as we were in longtown. Seated quickly we both chose Sunday lunch. Food arrived and was tasty and plentiful. It was that good we ordered a pudding. Sensibly priced we shall return

Loved it, called in for lunch and ordered Bacon and Brie panini and a latte. It was huge loads of bacon, and brie. A huge salad with homemade coleslaw which was delicious and crisps for £7.25 couldn't fault any of it and a HOT Latte. The cafe was well presented and very clean, Staff friendly and welcoming. Cant fault any of it, it was excellent

Great little stop off for a coffee or lunch which had before a walk along the River Esk. Great service, polite and helpful. They don't do dairy free milk, but I can take my own! 😬

So glad that we saw The Sycamore Tree was open today (Sunday) as we had used their catering services a few years ago when staying nearby and were very impressed. The cafe was very busy with Sunday Lunch service and the smells were mmmm. Just a flying stop for us today for a takeaway as we were on our journey home. Tasty panini and lovely fresh sandwich - just the job. Good value and friendly efficient service too. Would definitely recommend for anyone travelling through Longtown. Thank you!

We always stop here on our way going north and south on the A7 .
Prices are good and full platefuls of good food. Great staff and great menu.
