This is the second time I've stayed at Albany House. It's everything you could want from a guest house. Susan, our host, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The guest house is spotless and extremely comfortable; there is a good choice for breakfast and the cooked options are large and delicious.
Penrith is a fascinating little town, with lots of nooks and crannies and independent shops. It's also a great location for exploring The Lakes or the norther Pennies / Hadrian's Wall.

I am staying at the guest house whilst doing the coast to coast cycle. I highly recommend this guest house, great service with clean and spacious room. The host are used to cyclist so super organised and helpful. The breakfast are fray and filling. You even get a bath robe and fresh brownies in your room ! Great value for money. Thank you x

We booked for one night as a child free getaway and was pleasantly surprised at the standard of the room given the very reasonable price. The manager was friendly and welcoming and we will definitely try to stay again when we are in the area. ||The selection of drinks and snacks in the room was a great treat before bed. My

Myself and son had an amazing 3 night stay. Room spotless, shower fantastic, Breakfast lots of variety and super tasty 5 star thanks chef!. Susan very attentive and the brownies, coffee/tea in rooms replenished daily, nothing too much trouble. You have an amazing Guest House and it certainly shows how much work you put into your business, certainly a home from home. Thankyou a treasured memory.

Lovely folk, great hospitality. A great base for exploring Cumbria, the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales etc. We slept very well on the very comfortable beds, the place is spotless and cozy, and the breakfast was a real treat!

Archie should get an award for that brownie!

Brilliant B&B Susan was very welcoming when we arrived. Room was spacious and clean with everything we would need,even had a bathrobe. Every day aswel as tea and coffee in our room we had homemade chocolate brownies and biscuits. Breakfast was amazing, Archie Susan's husband is an amazing cook and baked the best chocolate brownies I have tasted. We will 100% be back here. Loved it!💖 John and kath the Geordies☺

The large double room I stayed in was beautiful, with a view of the park across the road. I loved the attention to detail with the complimentary brownie and chocolate with the tea and coffee in my room. Breakfast was delicious. Susan was very helpful and accommodating. Prime location within walking distance of the cbd. Absolute pleasure staying here. Highly recommend
