What an excellent peaceful hidden gem. The rooms were excellent and we made the most of the courtyard. If you like walking, come equipped. There is plenty to see.
Nicola and Ben were excellent hosts who really couldn't have done more.
Good place to stay if you don't want to be in the centre of Edinburgh, but still get to it within a few minutes by car or public transport.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The hosts were friendly and we felt very welcome. The beds were extremely comfy and rooms were spacious and clean! Would recommend to anyone heading over to Edinburgh, and it's only a short drive, or bus ride away

We received the studio room which was really lovely. Very comfy bed, a well equipped kitchenette, a very large and well appointed bathroom and a private entrance from the garden.||Parking was excellently located and just a few steps from the room.||The grounds are very pleasant although fairly limited as to how far you can go along the river.||When we arrived (a bit earlier than planned) we got the room pretty quickly and were shown around. Due to the Covid situation no breakfast is served but we had a well organized kitchenette with a coffee machine (with capsules) and fresh milk in the fridge. A large Morrison's just a short drive away, so organizing meals in the room wasn't an issue.||Location ideal for driving into the city and the train station is close by if you want to avoid the traffic and parking problems in town.||Highly recommend visiting the Dalkeith Country park close by for beautiful walks!

We visited at the end of summer and had a great stay here. The hosts were lovely and the room was great and very comfortable. The house is in a beautiful setting. If you'd like somewhere to escape the bustle of Edinburgh but still be close by, this is the perfect place!

My family recently stayed at this beautiful guesthouse located at the edge of Dalkeith as my oldest boy was getting married in the town. What a find this turned out to be, stunning location, excellent accommodation and fantastic service from Nicola the owner. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking to visit this area.

Being in the Dalkeith area for our friend’s wedding last weekend we (2 couples) booked two nights B&B at the Glenarch and what a gem we found.|Booking in was easy having been met, on arrival, by our hostess and we had two great rooms full of home comforts and many nice touches you often miss in bigger chain hotels e.g. ample brew kit, fluffy towels, free WiFi, plenty of hot water in our very modern bathroom (bath and shower) etc.|The continental breakfast was super with plenty of choice for the most discerning guest.....cereals, juices, toast, croissants, pastries and so much more......we even had deer running past the dining room windows on day 2.|A great place to stay and highly recommended

Echt een geweldig schoon en stijlvol ingerichte bed and breakfast dat word gerund door super vriendelijke eigenaren! De bus stopt praktisch voor de deur en dezelfde bus zet je dan weer in hartje centrum Edingburgh af! Wij gaan hier zeker nog eens terugkomen.

Stayed in the Glenarch House bnb and i have to say the room was lovely, very comfortable, very clean and just perfect. The welcome we received on arrival was first class as well. Would highly recommend a stay at the Glenarch to everybody
