Lovely, friendly staff. Exceptional rooms clean, bright and airy. Only showers, no baths in rooms but great pressure and water as hot as you like it with no nannying of temperature (I hate this nannying of facilities common in many places these days). Would highly recommend.

Lovely situation. Rural but close to town centre and other attractions. For horsey people the facilities look excellent.
I left before breakfast so can only say the menu looked yummy.

Checked in on Saturday and had the most happy warm welcome. We had some drinks in the lounge before getting ready for a night out. We were provided with taxi numbers and WiFi and the pre breakfast order was such a good idea as we were also asked a time so it was made fresh. The rooms are fabulous very clean and warm. In the morning the food and service was brilliant and we sat and watched all the horses go by to a show

Absolutely lovely single room at reasonable price. Wish I had more time to stay and go riding but passing through. Will definitely come again. Very clean and has everything you need. Lovely wee town too. Highly recommend for overnight or family stay

Recent stay tarnished with a domestic issue between male/female guests, which resulted in Police being called, as arguments escalated between them, no doubt inebriated and ended up in the grounds outside. As a guest, with my 12 yr old child, this was seriously concerning, and the whole event lasted until 4am, or thereabouts. Female screaming, shouting, speaking to people on her phone, drunk, thumping around etc from 2am onwards. Police apparently on scene and told female to remain in her room and lock door, no doubt until they reprimanded said male, to prevent him coming back to the property. ||However, we didn't know that and there was no way to contact anyone to ascertain what the situation was (was there potential for male to return, and perhaps start it all again, or escalate it all again, or kick doors in ?!!! ). Being unable to call main contact No on website, as other guests would hear me (no soundproofing between rooms as such). So I had to sit it out, awake until 4am, and listen to the female shout, talk on phone, thump around until she left (I assumed). I had to remain awake for the safety of my child, I wasn't prepared to have anyone pick the wrong room door and attempt to enter it or kick it in. ||This was mentioned to owner, whom I asked to speak to, and whilst it's an even which perhaps has never happened before and they would have no initial control over, however, there was no one present, nor any monitoring the situation at all, for 2 hours after initial outbursts and Im sitting there completely uniformed and feeling, as a parent, extremely vulnerable and anxious. The lady should have been moved to somewhere else and not left in a situation where it could all have quite easily kicked off again. Apparently Police apprehended said male, but I was unaware of this and had to sit it all out for two hours afterwards, until circa 4am.||Four hours sleep, we missed/reneged breakfast. So £113 for a night I'l never forget and child being traumatised and not even an offer of breakfast refund or an offer of something to take with us. ||The website needs a mobile phone listed, for txting to , for future problems. I couldn't call main number as the male/female next door would have heard me complain/call. ||Staff are pleasant, place is clean/nice, doors banging is an issue, as they're heavy and spring loaded. Flimsy door locks/handles too. ||Had someone been at the main desk to deal with any issues which arose, this would have never escalated to the degree it did, with guests/children being frightened at the unfolding events inside, then out side. ||I'm a fair person, this is a fair review. Granted the whole event could not have been foreseen, but no staff on main desk and feeling unsafe and uniformed for 2 hours during the middle of the night is not good. I won't be back.

Great place for a good night's sleep, followed by an excellent breakfast in the morning! Simple rooms in the old jockey's quarters of the previous racecourse, with the perfect decor & and necessary amenities. Wonderful staff, very accommodating, as I arrived the wrong date for my stay. If you want to know about the riding, check out their hotel website. I booked through the B&B. If I am in the area again, I would love to book a stay & a ride! Pefect for those who love horses & want to Ride, Eat & Sleep. 😀 Very close to Lanark & the World Heritage site of New Lanark.

A very comfortable and pretty room with good outlook. No traffic noise yet easy to find near main road. A good breakfast in the very convenient coffee lounge. Plenty parking.|Friendly and helpful staff ”

A wonderful place to stay for a quiet time even though it was only for one night. If you like horses you will enjoy the surroundings and the staff are very polite and helpful. Our room was cleaned and tidy and all rooms are named after race courses. Breakfast was plentiful and a wonderful selection. We took a walk and enjoyed the work going on with horse riders.
