Delightful stay while in a cycling trip. Faye and Dane are amazing hosts. Super helpful and kind. The rooms were super clean and well equipped. Breakfast was fresh and custom made each morning. Delicious. Location is walkable to the town and perfect for day trips. Bicycling was great and hosts were very knowledgeable about routes. Highly recommend!

I stayed at the Stables Guest House in October for three nights, and it was a wonderful experience! The breakfast each morning was fantastic—plentiful and delicious, setting a perfect tone for the day. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home.

I stayed in a ground-floor room, which was a great choice for easy access and added comfort. The ambiance of the guest house is charming and cozy, creating a perfect retreat.

I highly recommend the Stables Guest House to anyone looking for a lovely stay. I can’t wait to return!

Absolutely delightful visit. Faye and Dane are great hosts. Super clean and well stocked room. Wonderful breakfasts, custom made. Really appreciated their input on bike routes. The area is excellent for bicycling and the guest house was a perfect home base.

I’ve stayed in a lot of places like a lot of other travellers. Honestly this guest house knocks spots off of so many others. The hosts are what make it. And the location, the property, the varying breakfasts. I don’t think they’ve been doing hospitality for long but they are complete naturals. It was an absolute joy to stay here. Do yourself a favour if you’re looking to book in the area. Book here…

I usually don't write reviews ,but this is the first accommodation that I definitely need to highly recommend it and if I could, I would leave 100 stars. The owners were so kind, polite, always helpful with any kind of information I needed. Are kids friendly that is so amazing and helpful for parents especially for myself that I was alone with my 2 boys. The accommodation is so clean, with garden, car park, hot and cold breakfast, everything you need . Thank you so much for such an amazing service Dane and Fay. God bless you both .

Rudi the Austrian wanderer: Best hosts in the south-west of Scottland! Fay and Dane helped me so much on my hike on the southern upland way! They know all the good places - just trust their recommendations. A warm and fine stay at their house - just a little bit like home!!!

Very friendly and excellent THE STABLES is a real find I thoroughly recommend it .Everything in rooms works and the property is bright and clean . The hosts are delightful and the property similar ! A short walk from town centre and with good car parking . I hope to stay again and again .

Staying here for 2 nights, Above and beyond Service from start to finish, great local knowledge and there to help you if you are struggling on places to go, great rooms, great B&B Set close to the local shops, petrol stations and many other Amenities, I Highly recommend you stay here whether you are staying 2 nights or a week onwards, Dane and Fay are the Best Hosts you can have if stay in Newton Stewart
